Brief description of the position:
Co., Ltd. and hold the responsibility for all matters related to product management by coordinating interdisciplinary project teams to assure the competitiveness of products over lifecycle. It acts as an interface between each business unit in DSSO, VCTC ,VWA.
Key Tasks:
Independently manage and oversee the CMP (Change Management Process) in collaboration with project partner XPeng. Take full ownership of tracking new product requests and technical changes initiated by both XPeng and VW, follow up on change implementation progress, and independently resolve related issues to ensure process continuity.
Independently own all topics related to project partner XPeng, including organizing regular workshops, preparing agendas, meeting minutes and management summaries. Fully understand XPeng-related topics and lead cross-functional communication and cooperation to ensure smooth progress.
Collaborate closely with XPeng PMO to control additional costs from technical changes via the CMP process. Manage the overall XP related project budget, conduct pre-cost negotiations with XPeng, prepare cost reporting documents, and be responsible for tracking and executing the payment process.
Independently own and lead the implementation of VW AEKO (Change Management) process for MM B SUV, with full accountability for technical change execution, corresponding cost evaluation, and implementation timeline. Directly control change costs and ensure on-time assembly of all parts for pre-series and SOP vehicles.
Lead cross-functional coordination for all project-related goals (including product content, product costs estimation, capital value, time to market, and quality) and proactively address key issues such as launch management and risk mitigation across relevant business units.
Collaborating closely with R&D, Purchasing, Finance, Production, Quality, and Sales&Marketing departments. Independently deliver evaluation results for product new equipment requests, cost optimization measures, and market competitor analysis to ensure product competitiveness and profitability.
Conduct 360-degree reviews for all project-related technical, content, PKO, and evaluation tasks, including independent evaluation of technical and financial feasibility.
Independently lead the preparation of Pilothalle and Vorlage materials, as well as reporting decks, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project objectives.
Qualification and skills required for the position:
Master or bachelor in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or business administration with focus on marketing or business development
5 years working experience, out of this at least 2 years in automotive industry including supplier industry in Product or Project Management
Strong independent work ability: self-driven with experience managing complex topics end-to-end with minimal supervision. Strong strategic, analytical, communication skills, with the ability to analyze problems, propose potential countermeasures and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Understanding of automotive processes and procedures, familiar with Volkswagen Group organization, systems and processes Fluently in Chinese and business English.
