Brief description of the OU / position / role:

Responsible for the preparation and readiness of the SOP in car Production in terms of Electric&Electronic. Analyzing and resolving Electric&Electronic issues during the production process, ensuring vehicle electronic commissioning and timely delivery during the pre-series stage. Through pre-series problem analysis and debugging, improving the development maturity of ECU and ensuring product SOP. Realizing consistency between part software versions and vehicle VR through ECU flashing. Improving production qualification rate by implementing appropriate electronic commissioning measures. As interface of production to R&D for ECU commissioning test requirement, cooperating with VCTC, CARIAD, PTC, and Xpeng on electronic topics, developing and updating IB3P of IDS and DPST+ of CEA. 

Tasks:

Organization and management of an electronic launch team throughout the entire PEP (from PS to ME). Establishment of electronics reporting incl. risk assessment and target tracking in coordination with all departments involved (product technology, pilot hall, plant and development). Start-up planning for the electronics-relevant processes and optimization of the EAM methodology in cooperation with VW Brand, SEAT, VCIC, VCTC, Xpeng Cooperation.

Define and publish the electronic commissioning specifications for the entire lifecycle of VWA vehicle models, including sequence, parameters, etc. Develop VWA's IB3P based on the requirements of IB1 and IB2P in collaboration with Volkswagen brand, VCTC and VCIC-PTC. Ensure that the electronic commissioning of the entire vehicle is complete and effective.

From the perspective of electric&electronic, with the synchronous development of products, the manufacturability and feasibility of product design are evaluated on behalf of the production end. Considering equipment, processes, and electrical architecture, evaluate the impact of product design on production, and propose technical constraints on R&D from production.

Establish strategic plan for ECU flashing work based on Plan Rounds. Develop an overall work plan for ECU single part flashing. Organize cross departmental R&D, Logistics, Production, Quality Assurance and related suppliers evaluations to determine the scope of parts flashing, develop flashing work plans, deliver flashing parts according to production needs, and ensure Pre-serise and Serise production.

Lead and implement the analysis of vehicle electric/electronic problems in pre-series and series production. Establish electric/electronic problem analysis process and method, use hardware and software to diagnose the cause of the problem, provide solutions to reduce rework, improve production efficiency, and ensure vehicle delivery.

Lead and implement the electronic commissioning work for pre-series production vehicles. According to the pre-series production plan, evaluate and develop targets and plans for electronic commissioning work, reduce offline commissioning time, promote product maturity improvement, and deliver pre-series vehicles according to user and quality assurance requirements.

Organize and implement electric and electronic verification work for pre-series production. Establish a wiring harness testing platform to conduct communication testing of different configurations of wiring harnesses in the early stages of pre-series production, identify wiring harness quality issues, and enhance the maturity of the vehicle's electronic and electrical components. Build  pre-commissioning platform to test the communication and basic functions of the ECUs.

Conduct and implement Electric&Electronic problem management for pre-series production. Establish Errors Management process and escalation mechanism, organize cross departmental like PP, PC, PA, LO, etc.  to track and promote electronic issues, organize cross company like VCTC, SEAT, CARIAD, Xpeng to analyze and solve electronic problems.

Lead and propose P-relevant requirements for CEA, evaluate the feasibility of electronic commissioning of CEA products, develop CEA diagnostic methods and tools, and ensure pre-series production. Cooperate with VCTC, CARIAD and Xpeng to solve electric&electronic problems in pre-series phase, and continuously promote software maturity improvement.

Implementation of vehicle software upgrades. Based on Production, Quality Assurance or Sales needs, provide technical solutions for vehicle software upgrades, prepare relevant resources, and provide technical guidance to relevant departments to carry out flashing activities.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

Engineering Bachelor Degree: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Automotive, or similar

Min 10 years job related experience, automotive background
