Key tasks:

• Creating and maintaining build plans and schedules for prototype cell production.
• Managing orders, lead times, and communication with internal/external suppliers
• Distributing and tracking specifications, drawings, and change statuses.
• Ensuring timely ordering, delivery, inspection, and preparation of all required materials.
• Reserving and managing internal/external production slots, resolving scheduling conflicts.
• Monitoring quality checks, handling DRs and 8D actions in cooperation with technical development.
• Leading pre-build readiness checks and post-build reviews for yield, scrap, and lessons learned.
• Providing regular updates on progress, risks, performance, and supplier status.
• Identifying bottlenecks; standardizing processes, templates, and documentation.
• Conducting project reporting, ensuring timely escalation of issues.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• MS degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Elecrtrochemistry or evidence of experience and exceptional ability,  Ph.D is a plus. 
• 3+ years of experience in industry in field of battery industry
• Knowledge in battery cell related development and production processes►
• Open and willingness to take high pressure
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation skill to achieve WIN-WIN solutions with many stakeholders
• Coordination skills and assertion skills
• Able to communicate effective on different levels – from shop floor to top
• Self-motivated with the willingness to learn
• Business fluent in English; Chinese is a plus
• Priority will be given to VW Group internal candidates based on relevant prior work experience
