Key tasks:

• Deriving TE related Forward Sourcing timeline (including TE rating, LAH provision, etc.) from project timeline.
• Managemet of the sourcing processes within TE.
• Submitting the TE ratings for all battery cell materials in the project.
• Reporting and escalating topics related with sourcing of materials / parts for A and B sample production.
• Initiating factory release (including lab release).
• Management of approval processes incl. coordination with customers, internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Creating and updating schedules, presentations and project results.
• Aligning interfaces and workflows for material / part supply processes throughout development projects.
• Acting as a window person for purchasing, value engineering, operations, program management and/or others.
• Identifying and understanding trade-offs and risks as well as deriving countermeasures including advocating the conclusions as well as coordinating, implementing the defined solutions.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• MS degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or evidence of experience and exceptional ability.
• 3+ years of experience in industry in field of battery industry
• Knowledge in battery cell related development and production processes
• Open and willingness to take high pressure
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation skill to achieve WIN-WIN solutions with many stakeholders
• Coordination skills and assertion skills
• Able to communicate effective on different levels – from shop floor to top
• Self-motivated with the willingness to learn
• Business fluent in English; Chinese is a plus
• Priority will be given to VW Group internal candidates based on relevant prior work experience
