Key tasks:

• Developing cell designs and providing BOMs for samples, chang requests, and sample histories etc.
• Conducting process gap analyses and required technical validations.
• Identifying and assessing cost-optimization measures.
• Evaluating impacts of design, process, and cost changes on cell properties.
• Serving as liaison to Purchasing, Value Engineering, and Operations.
• Steering feasibility studies for producibility, KPIs, and product impact.
• Developing technical KPIs / specs for intermediate products.
• Supporting P- & D-FMEA.
• Deriving schedules and timelines for development projects in early phases.
• Identifying trade-offs / risks and deriving countermeasures.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• MS degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Elecrtrochemistry or evidence of experience and exceptional ability,  Ph.D is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in industry in field of battery industry
• Knowledge in battery cell related development and production processes
• Open and willingness to take high pressureStrong problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation skill to achieve WIN-WIN solutions with many stakeholders
• Coordination skills and assertion skills
• Able to communicate effective on different levels – from shop floor to top
• Self-motivated with the willingness to learn
• Business fluent in English; Chinese is a plus
