Key tasks:

• Designing cell components per battery cell requirements and functional specifications.
• Evaluating and testing raw materials and component formulations.
• Conducting technical supplier meetings and defining raw material delivery terms.
• Planning and executing experiments from lab to pilot scale.
• Performing chemical, physical, and electrochemical characterization of components.、
• Tracking timelines and costs, aligning technical solutions.
• Documenting and presenting project results; updating project schedules.
• Reporting progress and escalating critical issues promptly.
• Conducting literature, patent, and market research on cell components.
• Ensuring efficient lab operations complying with safety and hazardous material regulations.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• MS degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Elecrtrochemistry or evidence of experience and exceptional ability,  Ph.D is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in industry in field of battery industry
• Knowledge in battery cell related development and production processes
• Open and willingness to take high pressureStrong problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation skill to achieve WIN-WIN solutions with many stakeholders
• Coordination skills and assertion skills
• Able to communicate effective on different levels – from shop floor to top
• Self-motivated with the willingness to learn
• Business fluent in English; Chinese is a plus
