Key Tasks:

• Work with internal or external cell production team and PowerCo to ensure sample delivery
• Cross-functional interface between Quality, Process and RnD; Initiate, communicate and monitor solutions and their implementation.
• Take lead of the production process focus on formation & anging, incl. intermediate products and final products to allow successful sample production
• Initiate, lead and report process relevant problem solving 
• Initiate and support to improve partner's process documentation, such as  production FMEA and equipment release documentation
• Visit main raw material, component, and equipment supplier and follow up on advanced technology 
• Identify process and product improvement possibilities; realize implementation via sample DOE verification or laboratory trials.
• Release of material and intermediale parts for production based on alignment with stakeholders

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• MS degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Elecrtrochemistry or evidence of experience and exceptional ability,  Ph.D is a plus. 
• 3+ years’ experience in industry in  field of product to process
• Knowledge in battery cell related development and production processes
• experience in automotive industry
• Open and willingness to take high pressure
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation skill to achieve WIN-WIN solutions with many stakeholders
• Coordination skills and assertion skills
• Able to communicate effective on different levels – from shop floor to top
• Self-motivated with the willingness to learn
• Abstraction skills
• Fluent in English, German . Chinese is a plus.
• Priority will be given to VW Group internal candidates based on relevant prior work experience
