Key tasks:

• Leading & structuring process optimization across prototype electrode, cell assembly, formation/aging lines; ensuring alignment with product/process targets.
• Creating, maintaining & aligning parameter sets & operating windows for critical cell steps; ensuring consistency internal labs/pilot lines & external suppliers.
• Coordinating process topics with equipment suppliers, external partners & internal pilot teams; ensuring tech consistency & parameter comparability.
• Consolidating process know-how, parameters, control plans, best practices & lessons learned into structured Process Book for series deployment.
• Aligning with Technology & Operations on target process windows, capability needs, documentation formats & deployment readiness criteria.
• Defining standards for process documentation, traceability & data capture across prototype/supplier environments; ensuring future MES compatibility.
• Facilitating knowledge exchange across Prototype, Technical Dev, Quality, Ops & external partners; standardizing methods & reducing variability.
• Providing process expertise for validation builds, capability assessments & tech readiness evaluations with Testing, Validation & Ops.
• Documenting, discussing & presenting project results; creating & updating schedules, roadmaps & presentations.
• Conducting project reporting & ensuring timely issue escalation.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• MS degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Elecrtrochemistry or evidence of experience and exceptional ability,  Ph.D is a plus. 
• 3+ years of experience in industry in field of battery industry
• Knowledge in battery cell related development and production processes►
• Open and willingness to take high pressure
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation skill to achieve WIN-WIN solutions with many stakeholders
• Coordination skills and assertion skills
• Able to communicate effective on different levels – from shop floor to top
• Self-motivated with the willingness to learn
• Business fluent in English; Chinese is a plus
• Priority will be given to VW Group internal candidates based on relevant prior work experience
