Key tasks:

• Scouting, evaluating & defining innovative process concepts (e.g., coating, calendaring, joining, electrolyte, formation) aligned with PowerCo roadmap.
• Managing technical partnerships with external providers; defining joint dev scopes, milestones & maturity expectations.
• Integrating new processes into prototype/lab setups; planning & executing trials, parameter studies, feasibility & risk assessments.
• Translating process concepts into robust parameter sets for pilot/series production; documenting scalability & critical dependencies.
• Assessing supplier solutions on process capability, automation, digitalization, safety & integration feasibility into PowerCo production landscape.
• Aligning process requirements, equipment needs & ops concepts with Series Dev, Prototyping, Ops & Purchasing for manufacturability & cost-effectiveness.
• Creating process descriptions, parameter sheets, evaluation reports, risk analyses & recommendation papers for mgmt decisions & series production prep.
• Monitoring market trends, benchmarking competitive tech & proposing new process opportunities for PowerCo’s long-term mfg strategy.
• Documenting, discussing & presenting project results; creating/updating schedules, roadmaps & presentations.
• Conducting project reporting & ensuring timely issue escalation.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• MS degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Elecrtrochemistry or evidence of experience and exceptional ability,  Ph.D is a plus. 
• 3+ years of experience in industry in field of battery industry
• Knowledge in battery cell related development and production processes►

• Strong negotiation skill to achieve WIN-WIN solutions with many stakeholders
• Coordination skills and assertion skills
• Able to communicate effective on different levels – from shop floor to top

• Business fluent in English; Chinese is a plus
