MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
- Accountable & responsible for the overall project- & functional scope of vehicle wire harness
- Responsible for the evaluation, implementation and improvement of vehicle wire harness
- Responsible for concept, development & localization activities to ensure the project targets (cost/time/quality) and technical release (P-F, B-F, BMG and K-F)
- Responsible to steer the project stakeholder and define the working model
- Responsible to track and report the project progress and escalate in timely manner
- Responsible to define, optimize and maintain vehicle wire harness development processes
RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS
Accountable & responsible for the overall project- & functional scope of vehicle wire harness
- Define and release the project requirements for wire harness, connectors and cable routing such as technical, budget & timing
- Responsible for compliance and functionality of the vehicle wire harness acc. to Chinese Law
- Responsible for the project budget & resource planning, track fulfillment and request approval by C/EE Head of Energy Systems
- Responsible for problem solving in the development
- Responsible for the execution within project milestones and give the release approval in VW Group systems
- Responsible for the change management (CCB), define the process and request approval by C/EE Head of Energy Systems
- Ensures and drives the escalation top critical issues if solution on own level cannot be achieved
Responsible for the evaluation, implementation and improvement of vehicle wire harness requirements
- Defines and release the technical specification book (“Lastenheft” = LAH) for the ZSB, SW and sub-components, align the content and ensures the release to the project start
- Responsible for fulfillment of requirements (compliance check) to every project milestone and implement countermeasures in case of deviations
- Ensure the documentation of the requirement status in VW Group Systems
- Ensure Lessons Learned to every project milestone and define measures for the next milestone
Responsible for concept, development & localization activities to ensure the project targets (cost/time/quality) and technical release (P-F, B-F, BMG and K-F)
- Define the project scope, milestone targets and localization depth and output a release checklist for every milestone
- Leads the release checklist and define countermeasures in case of deviation. Ensure zero deviation to BMG and K-F
- Responsible for status report to each milestone and document the release status in VW Group Systems
- Align all release checklist with the stakeholder and report the final status to C/EE Head of Energy Systems
Responsible to steer the project stakeholder and define the working model
- Define the relevant stakeholder, align the jobsplit and setup the project team
- Responsible for working model, communication- and meeting landscape for a successful collaboration between all stakeholder
- Promote and ensure a regular working meeting structure to ensure working quality, milestones and technical targets
- Ensure a regular project status report, management meeting (incl. suppliers) and a successful closing of each milestone
Responsible to track and report the project progress and escalate in timely manner
- Ensure project report within the project team and towards management based on the milestones or aligned management meetings. Define a reporting cascade
- Store the weekly/monthly reports in the project share folder and distribute the report within the project team
- Responsible for risk management process, ensure a transparent risk reporting and escalation in timely manner
- Responsible for escalation, decision & recommendation paper and show to consequences to company and project targets
Responsible to define, optimize and maintain vehicle wire harness development processes
- Comply to the company wide PEP process & working instruction
- Drive improvements to reduce cost and time to speed up vehicle wire harness development process
- Create internal working processes to ensure reliable quality standard in the development process
Necessary education:
Engineering Master degree in automotive, electrical or computer engineering Project management skill (preferable PMP certified)

- Strong project management skills regarding people and visionary business

- Highly skilled with efficient management of complex projects with many stakeholders
- Highly self-organized
- Convincing, strong ability to negotiate and achieve WIN-WIN solutions

- Communicate highly effective on different levels, from shop floor to top management
- Visionary, able to build strategies and to implement them
- Analytical thinking
- Already networked in Volkswagen Group, able to fast network in region China with different stakeholders/entities
- Engineering univ. degree; automotive industry and power train knowledge required
- Fluent in English, basic German & Chinese helpful
Working experience (in years): 10+ years in respective field, 3+ years in coordinating battery projects (technical project lead)
