MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The Job Verification & Validation (V&V) manager is key role which will represent Audi in China region for all vehicle-release relevant topics. The working scope includes but not limited to releasing FBU/CKD Audi models on behalf of Audi AG; bridging/strengthening/accelerating the information exchange between different stakeholders in China; Steering all the JVs in whole vehicle validation lifecycle; Actively organizing highest level meetings between Audi AG and JVs to synchronize key decision essential information and push for clear and quick final product decision; Actively planning and participating the highest level management test drives, presenting validation status and release blockers to the top level management; Monitoring all stakeholders about validation progress and raise to top management level when any release risk is foreseeable. Tracking the whole vehicle validation schedule and raise to top management level when any process delay or resource limit is foreseeable.

 

This role will take responsibility of:

  • stakeholders steering in order to achieve a successful vehicle model release.
  • V&V resource planning, project planning,
  • project monitoring, status tracking

 

It is not only an information hub, it is also a motivator to all business partners and an interface to high level management to Audi AG. It is even a decision maker for proper level to achieve quick solution. The tasks are listed in following cells.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS

 

  1. Task: Organization or contribution to regular meetings/events (such as V&V table, acceptance drives, level 1 V&V meetings) involving stakeholders from JVs and Audi AG to ensure the project information reach business partners in time.
  2. Task: Resource Management / Overall Project (including Vehicle Management): Validation of vehicle planning and test resources (V&V plan), vehicle control/management.
  3. Task: Management of consistent Level 1 V&V delivery results based on pre-consolidated V&V artifacts. Consolidation of V&V results, including reporting, escalation, risk assessment, and measures.
  4. Task: Supporting management test drives in organization, execution and accompaniment from a project perspective.
  5. Task: Monitoring and report to stakeholder about Maturity (Functions, Characteristics, Interaction Clusters); Creation of Level 1 maturity reports, project milestones, and deviation analysis of requirements vs. current status.
  6. Task: Issue Management / Overall Project: Application of the overall project issue management plan, including reporting and escalation.
  7. Task: Overall Vehicle Validation: Project control of validation and functional validation coordination (VR control) analogous to I/EV-G1. For CKD projects → Management of existing projects.
  8. Task: support the management in final vehicle releasing with all kinds of testing reports/records and relevant release recommendations from all relevant stakeholders.

 

Other tasks:

  1. Participation in regular tests in Audi China and JV including China wide test drives to get first impression of all functions’ maturity and testing progress
  2. Planning of necessary tests with business partners from Audi AG I/EV, Audi China C/EV and JV V&V departments.
  3. Ad-hoc coordination of all testing resource such as test vehicles test benches/test parts to ensure adequate communication between the testing team, development team and PM team.
  4. Proactive involvement/contribution in all the escalation round if any V&V activity suffer from low processing speed, inadequate management attention and so on.
  5. Proactive advocate for Audi Validation department in various meetings and fight for the successful release.

 

Necessary education:

A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Automotive Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mediatechnology or similar scientific discipline.

 

Personal skills:

  • Highly motivated with initiative working attitude and a strong team player;
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, correctness and deadlines;
  • Good organizational as well as communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing work environment.

 

Working experience (in years):

  • Minimum 8 year experience in the automotive industry;
  • Experience in the field of vehicle development and testing desired;
  • Deep knowledge of project management;
  • Cross-cultural competence is a plus.

 

Remarks (Language, IT-Knowledge, Certificates etc.):

Deep knowledge about Audi PEP process and project management skills; Proficient MS Office knowledge; familiar with VECTOR CANALYZER, CANOE, CANAPE and diagnostic tools (VAS, ODIS, IDEX, CP-tool) is a plus; Chinese driving license/ Audi Prototype driving license is necessary, driving pleasure and willingness to travel - also for extended periods of time; German (mother tongue or equivalent proficiency); good knowledge of English (business fluent); Mandarin is a plus.
